Well coming away from a hellish term of Imperial was quite a relief. But my car, due for an MOT on saturday, meant I had to stay home. But thats ok, I thought, I could do something on Sunday. Oh no. Why would anything want me to see my friends? Not only did the weather get worse, but the cold opened up a part of my chasis. So my car failed its MOT. So I only just got it back today, laxxing into the christmas mood with the family. Fucking typical.

It must just mean I'm growing up, because I've come to hate snow now.

Also, saw Avatar in 3D today. My hat is off to you, Mr Cameron; a truly masterful piece of work. Its on =omenofthedeep's recommendation list! I'm definetly going to see it again!

Well, it has dawned on me 6 weeks in that I DONT HAVE ENOUGH TIME. In between the Archery training [8 hours a week], swimming to get fit [8 hours a week], the new band I joined [called Kensington Gore [named after a road]], maths tutoring [usually 4-6 hours a week], let alone my course, and most importantly having time with girlfriend...

I don't think I have time for dA anymore. Thats not so normal, but I think it means I have to stop adminning for *helping-the-unknown. I can't carry on like this! I will contemplate it for a while. Input is welcomed

4 things.

1) theres nothing quite like the sight and smell of whats infront of me. Not only the badly washed pallette knife and brush, and the broken and mostly used tube of black acrylic. Its a 4 ft high, 1 ft wide, and I just finished priming it. Yup - a new Acid Trip Extravaganza is on its way!

2) I'm important! apparently! im now an admin for , and my first news article is due this weekend coming.

3) I got an interview for a tutoring agency. They desperately need GCSE maths tutors, and luckily they let undergrads teach. Looks like I could be earning some good money this year!

4) I finally decided to do something about my stomach. I'm sick of not being able to drink. I had a middle ear infection lately, so once I'm off the antibiotics I'm just going to bear the burning pain. Fuck my stomach, right in the arse. I have an endoscopy scheduled soon so hopefully I'll be put on acid suppressants and I'll be all happy and whilst having not treated the cause, will treat the symptoms!

No one else cares I'm sure, but I'm loving it!

Normally, I'll bitch, I'll moan, and I'll make out that my life is really fucking shit. However, in an inspiring turn of events, my entire outlook on life has really turned on its head. Here's why:

1) Maria is coming back on Friday. I'm SO FUCKING HAPPY ABOUT IT as it's <sarcasm>only</sarcasm> been about 3 months since she went home to Cyprus for summer. She'll be all mine [or ill be all hers, or both] for the next 9 months, and perhaps longer if she stays here next summer.

2) The band [ [link] or [link] ] is infact still alive, and still kicking. Infact it totally fucking rocks. We are playing Marlow Festival [ [link] ] on Saturday, and it's going to be REALLY AWSOME. It is out first festival, and it is only small, but its the start of a big turnaround in our approach. This year, we have made a promise to play more live, and this is the first of said events.

3) I've realised that this year at university is going to be major fun. I wouldn't say it is more relaxed, however its a known fact that the 2nd year is by far the worst, so roll on 3rd year. It isn't the last year, so it's like a huge pressure relieved.

4) So much so that I have made a promise to myself that not only am I going to really step up on Archery practice for the squad, but I am also going to become an active member of Imperial RockSoc. This should get the band more gigs also, incidentally!

5) We are moving into the new flat next week. I'm sad to see Phil move out [the reason we had to move], but it should be really fun getting into and organising the new place. Not to mention that now we live right around the corner from not only Wood Lane tube, White City tube, the BBC television centre; but also the Westfield Centre and Shepherd's Bush. It is a bad quality flat, but the location is perfect

6) My mother has really appreciated a bunch of help I gave throughout living at home over summer. I am basically completely poor at the moment, and Mum has really kindly decided to buy my Progresive Nation 2009 ticket! She saw it and thought 'Rhys really likes Dream Theater, he shouldn't miss it'. She doesn't know that I'm also a raving Opeth fan - and am also really intruiged by Unexpect.

My life is getting really good! Like all good things, it will not last. But - I will revel in it all the same!

Apologies this has taken so long! Unfortunetly I had to arrange a new flat to move into for my 3rd year in University, so last week was full of property searching and packing my shit up at the current place. Its all very exciting, honest. You’ll just have to believe me.

Anyway, Continuing with my attempt to give something back to the DA community, I present here another feature. This one, however, features on not the art type – but the artists who enter. All of those who entered have below 5000 pageviews, and this is to bump them up a bit and get them noticed a bit more [well, that’s the intention atleast]

Like I said I would – I have chosen 5 of my favourites and given them a little bit of special treatment. However, I have listed 15 others that I really enjoyed. But my god was it difficult to choose! In the end a whopping 104 people entered, making life for me rather difficult!

Of the maximum 5 thumbs they could post, I chose 1 for each artist.

Well, I wish I could say I would give them more special treatment, but my plan was somewhat flawed. I wanted to these pieces of work a critique as well as a fav and the author a watch. But life just isn’t that simple sometimes. Sorry! But you need to actually request critiques apparently!
